Hey guys/gals! Sorry I have been a little MIA lately, but I’m back and I wanted to share the products that I have been using on my hair for the past 2 wash days. Below are the results from last night’s wash day and the products I used. Click the brand names in the text & next to the image for the link on where to buy each product.

Let me begin by stating that all of these products are sulfate & paraben free. Not pictured are the shampoo I used or Mask. I have been having scalp flaking issues & I think it might be due to Seborrheic Dermatitis (self diagnosing lol) so I have been using Head & Shoulders while I can go to my dermatologist and it has been helping tons! The mask I used is the Overtone Colorless Hair Mask.

First up- Emerge My Mane BFF Leave-In conditioner. I chose to use the Emerge leave-in this wash and go because I wanted a lighter hold and feel to my curls. It is extremely light weight and has a light scent as well. This gives me a lot of slip in the shower so detangling is a breeze and always leaves my curls frizz free and hydrated due to the Pequi Oil & Shea Butter used in the formulation. It is also great as a refresher! Usually I would use my spray bottle and then scrunch some into my hair to revive any dryness after a few days.

2nd I used one of my ALL TIME FAVES– Ogx Moroccan Curling Defining Cream. This has been my go to because it is super versatile. The cream is not too thick and not too watery and pairs well with a lot of other products that I apply to my hair. How I make sure that the products in my line up pair well is I apply a small dot of each product on my palm and mix them together for a minute or two. If the mix looks clumpy and is not smooth, then the products will not work well together and you will have to end up washing your hair sooner than usual. The reason being that not all ingredients and consistencies are going to pair well together and to avoid having to re-wash your hair after 2 days, definitely check if the products will work well together in your hair. See below pictures for reference on how the products should look once mixed.
Last but not least! The last product I used has also been my go to gel for a few months now- Aussie’s Instant Freeze Gel. This gel has jojoba oil & Sea Kelp in the ingredients. Jojoba oil moisturizes, strengthens and can help treat scalp problems due to clogged pores. Sea kelp has many benefits. It helps promote hair growth, is made up of 46 minerals, 16 amino acids, 11 vitamins along with a high iodine content, so it helps people who have iron or mineral deficiencies that can suffer from thinning hair. It is said to regulate thyroids and treat dandruff as well. Consumption of sea kelp is the best way to get it into your body the quickest but having it added to hair products also helps. This gel definitely lengthens my wash and go’s and gives me the hold I love. Definitely recommend trying it in your hair routine.

So there you have it! These products are not only affordable (from $5.99-$8 the most !!) but they have been helping my curls stay soft and fluffy, along with the deep conditioning once a week, with the DCs I shared with you in my previous posts. Thanks for the tip on mixing the products to see if they work well together! Never thought of that.
